Description
Marlborough Pinot Gris has grown strongly in popularity over the last few years and has quickly become a staple in the Allan Scott Family Winemakers range.
The wine was aged in a mixture of old and new French oak barrels for 4 months which adds a layer of complexity.
The short spell of skin contact to extract colour and flavour results in the rich golden hue that will develop with age.

“A very modern expression with texture and complexity from barrel fermentation, but also holds on to its core signature of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and white spice. Pears and apples, white pepper and a fine lees complexity deliver a wine of personality and charm.” Cameron Douglas
Vintage 2021 / The Real Review – 93 Points
“Dry, complex pinot gris, with ripe tree fruit, poached pear and apple, nutty flavours with a seasoning of ginger and spicy oak. A richly-textured wine with nicely-pitched acidity helping to drive a lengthy finish.” Bob Campbell
