After leaving school Victoria trained to become the restaurant manager in one of the largest hotels in Christchurch.
A stint in the UK working for a wine importation and distribution company in London followed. Victoria later took over the management of Twelve Trees Restaurant and the cellar door shop. Then with a view to broadening her experience she took a marketing position with Marlborough’s tourism organisation tasked with promoting the region throughout New Zealand and internationally, subsequently returning to the family fold to take on the marketing mantle there.
