Description
VITICULTURE
Harvest 2025 was a standout vintage in Marlborough. The conditions at the end of 2024 set the stage for an abundant crop. A cool and early summer created an extended ripening period for the grapes. By late summer, warm and dry days combined with cooler nights kept the vines healthy and disease-free. This balance encouraged full flavour development in the fruit.
The generous crop levels naturally slowed ripening, allowing each vineyard block to be harvested at optimal flavour maturity, with little rush. The grapes showed perfect harmony between acidity, flavour, and sugar ripeness—delivering the classic expression of Marlborough.
Bringing together this exceptional harvest with decades of family viticulture experience has resulted in elegant, expressive wines, each reflecting the character of its vineyard site.
VINIFICATION
With a talented and enthusiastic team of international winemakers, the 2025 harvest provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the vibrant flavours of the vintage. Grapes were picked in the cool of the early morning to preserve freshness, then carefully destemmed into open fermenters. During fermentation, they were gently hand-plunged to enhance colour and texture.
After fermentation, the wine was drained and pressed off the skins, with each tank left to rest for two months before blending and bottling. No oak ageing was used, ensuring a pure expression of fruit character.
