Scott Base Emperor Méthode Traditionnelle
This beautifully bottle-aged Méthode Traditionnelle has captured Central Otago.
Aromatics are wild herbs, honeycomb, and biscuit yeast autolysis characters. The palate is well-balanced with lemon, pineapple building to a creamy mid-palate, and tapering off to an elegant finish which simply exudes finesse.
Like all great sparkling wines, the Emperor will perfectly match scallops, crayfish, or whitebait.
The Real Review – 93 Points
“Rich, flavoursome, creamy-textured fizz with in a broad, mellow style. Toasted brioche, ginger and just a hint of green apple flavours with some citrus/lime characters. Quite a complex wine with a lingering finish.” Bob Campbell
