Description
Generations ago, our ancestor Eli Scott, the first of our family to reach New Zealand, heeded the siren call of the 1860s-gold rush. Just like the elusive mother lode he sought, a wine as special as this is indeed an extraordinary find. We struck gold with these barrels and only 500 litres of this exclusive premium reserve will ever be bottled. The Generations single-vineyard range is made from the best grapes grown on the Scott family’s own estates. This exquisite vintage is the result of low-yield vines, meticulous viticulture and special attention in the cellar.
For this 2019 Pinot Noir expect beautiful boysenberry and cherry characters on the nose. The ripe and sumptuous concentrated fruit is supported by subtle notes of cedar oak and light roast coffee. The soft velvety tannins provide structure and a big mouth-filling long and elegant finish. A perfect wine with lots of life and the ability to store for 10 years plus.
